Can You Get Sea-sick Even When Your Stomach Is Empty?
Nausea, uneasiness, dizziness, vomiting, headache, coldsweats, fatigue. All these are symptoms of seasickness.
First, let's start with Motion Sickness. Carsickness, airsickness, seasickness, these are the types of motion sicknesses. When motion is felt but not seen, motion sickness is likely to occur. The Postrema(in the brain) induces vomit when several unbalances are detected. For instance, when you are in the fastest ship ever and you can't see outside probably because there are no windows, of course you can feel the motion, but you can't see it, therefore, your inner ear sends a message to your brain telling it that motion is a sensed but at the same time, the eyes tells the brain that there is no motion. Such imbalances makes the brain feel that you are hallucinating due to reasons it is oblivious of. Then nausea becomes induced, vomiting follows and all other symptoms. But this hasn't explained the question; can we get seasick or generally motionsick without food in our stomach?
Well of course.
This is in fact one of the thing that agitates seasickness. Sea sickness is not only characterized by vomiting, it is also characterized by nausea and sometimes headaches. So, it is advisable to eat at least something light before going on a cruise with your yacht or even with your truck or private jet, whichever, just don't travel on an empty stomach.
Stay tuned.
