Without a Telescope Can We See Planets From Earth With Our Bare Eyes?
Hello readers. Sorry we haven't kept you updated for some time now, good thing is we are here now.
So,the sun, the eight planets, the moons, billions of asteroids and the comets, all make up our Solar system. All these range in a variety of size and masses, stronger and weaker gravitational pull, revolution period and most importantly, brightness.
A lot of people believe seeing other planets with just our eye from our comfort home is practically impossible except with the aid of a telescope; which is built specifically for the purpose of viewing distant object, but how wrong how such a that is. Seeing planets with just the naked eye is a hundred percent possible . But how is this possible? Stick with me.
Planets cannot be seen in the sky when it is day time. We see them every time we look into the sky but yet we tend to mistake most of them for stars. Most times, whenever it is dark and the stars are out, planets can be seen.
Because of how bright they are (due to the reflection of sunlight), we can see them from wherever we are. Planets appear in form of stars to our bear eyes but can be distinguished from stars. It is always noticed that stars appear to twinkle when we look at them from Earth, but what you should know is that planets do not appear to twinkle.
So next time you look into the night sky, try to find a star that literally doesn't twinkle.
Stay tuned for more on planets spotting.
