Why Do We Sweat?

Funny isn't it? I'll agree but to some extent, it isn't. You wanna know why? Its because most people think the only reason we sweat is because we feel heat. You think so too don't you?
Well, here's the fact. Sweating is the process of the sweat glands of the skin, secreting salty fluids. It is also known as perspiration, diaphoresis, sudation and hidrosis.
It's natural if you think we get hotter when we sweat especially on hot sunny days, but we actually get colder. Sweating is the body's natural way of cooling us down. So we can jokingly say sweating is the body's best air conditioner. So, without sweating, we wouldn't find it funny with the heat. Just imaging how it would be if we don't sweat, we would be as frustrated as ever.
The normal body temperature is 37 degrees Celsius or 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit. Sweating helps us maintain it. If we don't sweat, we can suffer severe cases of heat stroke during horrible hot weather conditions.
We also sweat to burn fat, you know, all the food we eat needs to get burned up somehow, and this I through sweating. We need to sweat to maintain proper homeostasis.
The Aprocrine and Eccrine sweat glands are the sweat glands we have. The Eccrine is more common and it is found in places like the palm and fore-head. The Aprocrine is found in the armholes'.
Why does the sweat smell?
Our sweat is odorless. It only stinks when it reacts with bacteria on the skin. That's why I is necessary to have our bath regularly or else, you know.
stay tuned for more...
