Did Life Ever Exist On Mars??

I'm sure at some point of our lives, we must have heard of some greeny fierce-looking creatures called Martians.
Most times, movies feature them as invaders or predators of inhabitants of Earth - and sometimes heroes. But that's not what we really wanna know, is it?
What we really want to know is - different life ever existed on the red planet - Mars.
Of all the planets in our solar system, Mars has turned out to be quite similar to Earth, although it is only half the size of the Earth, and consists of two moons which are probably captured asteroids. Since Mars is farther away from the Sun the the Earth is, it is cold with temperatures rarely rising about freezing. In the 19th century, some astronomers thought they had detected a network of canals on the red planet. These canals led to some people believing that intelligent life might exist on Mars, and this also led to many movies featuring Martians in them. Although, water - even oceans - May have covered Mars in the past - say about four billion years ago - but today, there is only frozen red soil.
As said earlier, Mars is the most like Earth. Although, it is a much smaller and colder planet, it has a thin atmosphere to protect its surface from space. It also has polar caps made of ice and seasons like our own. But, did it support life?

Even after people stopped believing in human-like Martians, some astronomers still thought that Mars was home to simple plants. Early space probes in orbit around the planet discovered dried-up river valleys - concrete evidence that water, essential for life, had once flowed on Mars, but had not enough time to form life.
